What if I found someone who could mentor, challenge, and personally train me? The idea is that you seek a more mature Christian (maybe from your Group or Team)—someone who’s just a little ahead of you in the journey, and hang out to talk about Scripture, read books, and “show and tell” you how to bring Christ more into your life, family, job. You don’t have to be a scholar, a SuperChristian or a Yoda to have an apprentice. You just need to be a little farther along. We all need real life examples and models. We teach what we know, but reproduce who we are.
